2009 Calendar
The Massasoit Art Guild has compiled its 1st Annual Desktop Calendar. The 13 month 2009 Calendar contains prints of works by member artists. It is very compact, enclosed in an acrylic CD case which flips open to create its own stand. Profits from the sale of the calendar will go the Guild’s Community Outreach Program. In combination with grants obtained from Local Cultural Councils, the non-profit Massasoit Art Guild hopes to offer workshops, classes and demonstrations free to the community. The cover of the calendar features a painting by long-time resident artist of Spencer, Emile Gaucher. The painting titled “Harbor Impressions” was done in oil on canvas with a palette knife. Emile is an award winning artist and inspiration to all members of the Guild.
The calendars can be purchased at Cormier Jewelers Gallery on Main Street in Spencer, as well as the Howland House, 34 Pleasant Street, Spencer, at the Guild Hall or at any Guild event.
