DESCRIPTION

Welcome to the Massasoit Art Guild's Spring Small Works Art & Photography Show and Sale. We invite you to enter up to 2 pieces of artwork in the following categories: Oil, Watercolor, Acrylic, Pastel, Drawings and  Prints, Other Mixed Media, Traditional and Digitally Enhanced Photography.

DATES TO REMEMBER

​

• Open call dates: February through April ; or, until the space is filled(whichever comes first). So, sign up early!​

• Drop off/check-in: Thursday, April , 9:30-11:00 a.m.

• Show Dates and Times: October 10 - 11 , 2026,  from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

• Opening Reception: April from 4:00-6:30 p.m. in the Ground Floor Community Room.

• ​Pick-up artwork: Thursday, May, 9:30-11:00 a.m.

ELIGIBILTY

Members only show – FREE

The show is open to all current members of the Massasoit Art Guild. Not a member?  Click to join. You may also join at the time of entry and include payment with your entry. If you mail a check separately, it must be postmarked no later than April.

ENTRY CRITERIA

1. Each artist may submit up to 2 pieces for this show. 

2. All work must be original and not entered in past Massasoit Art Guild Shows. 

3. Labels must be filled out clearly and attached to the back of the artwork.

4. Artwork should be original,  done by the artist, not done in a workshop and must be done in the last 3 years.

5. Gallery-wrapped canvases must not have any staples or other hardware showing and all sides should be neatly painted.

6. All accepted work must be hand-delivered.

AWARDS
Ribbons and cash prizes will be awarded for the following: 1st , 2nd and 3rd place, Honorary Mention along with People’s Choice.

​

Judging will be all inclusive – no separate categories.​​

TERMS OF ENTRY / COMMISSION

Massasoit Art Guild will receive a 15% commission on all work sold. Art need not be for sale, but it is encouraged.

 

This is an honor-based sale. We kindly ask that members submit the appropriate commission to the guild for any artwork sold.

​

By entering the competition, artists grant Massasoit Art Guild permission to use selected images on social media, the website and printed materials for promotional purposes.

​

Massasoit Art Guild will not be held responsible for the loss or damage of any artwork. By submitting an entry form, each artist will be deemed to have concurred with this agreement.​

​
