DESCRIPTION
Welcome to the Annual Massasoit Art Guild Art & Photography Show and Sale. We invite you to enter up to 3 pieces of artwork in the following categories: Oil, Watercolor, Acrylic, Pastel, Drawings and Prints, Other Mixed Media, Traditional and Digitally Enhanced Photography.

Artwork Entry Drop Off: Friday, October 9, 2026, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m .

Show Dates and Times: October 10 - 11 , 2026, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Opening Reception: Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. with Awards Ceremony at 2 p.m.

Our Raffle Table will be full of great prizes from local businesses. Raffle winners will be announced on Sunday at 2 p.m.

Live Music Provided by Timothy Loftus on Saturday from 12 p.m. 4 p.m.

ELIGIBILTY
The show is open to all current members of the Massasoit Art Guild. Not a member? Click to join. You may also join at the time of entry and include payment with your entry. If you mail a check separately, it must be postmarked no later than September 27, 2026.

AWARDS
First, Second and Third cash awards will be given in each of the eight category, plus Best in Show.
All award winners will be spotlighted on our website, and on social media posts. ​
Honorable Mentions will be at the discretion of the judges.
If there are too few entries in any category, fewer prizes will be awarded in that category. All decisions by the judges are final.

Memorial Awards will be presented at the discretion of the families of the departed guild members or in some cases they are determined by the judges.
​
There will also be a President's Award, This award is determined by the current guild president along with any past presidents who are present at the show.
ART CHALLENGE
​
Entry Rules:
You may enter up to one piece in this special 2026 “challenge” category.
This piece of artwork can be of any medium i.e.; Photography, Watercolor, 3-D, Collage, Acrylic, Drawing, Oil, etc..
This will be included in your total count of 3 pieces that you may enter into the show for this year.
So, in other words, you can enter one item in this challenge category and two others in any other of the eight additional show categories offered.
If you do not wish to enter a challenge item, you can enter 3 pieces in any of the eight other categories.
ENTRY CRITERIA

Each artist may submit up to 3 pieces for this show.

All work must be original and not entered in past Massasoit Art Guild Shows.

Labels must be filled out clearly and attached to the back of the artwork.

Artwork should be original, done by the artist, not done in a workshop and must be done in the last 3 years.

Gallery-wrapped canvases must not have any staples or other hardware showing and all sides should be neatly painted.

All accepted work must be hand-delivered.

ENTRY FEES & COMMISSION
Entry fee is $8 per entry accompanying the entry form.

All submissions, including payments must be made by September 27, 2026 to be accepted.

The Massasoit Art Guild will retain a 15% commission on artwork sold during the show. Payment from customers for artwork sold during the show will be made in the form of cash, charge, or check made out to The Massasoit Art Guild.
Payment will be mailed to artists (minus commission) shortly after the show. Artists are responsible for all taxes resulting from sales of their artwork.
Prices for artwork will be listed in the program, or if you do not want to sell your artwork, enter “NFS” (Not for Sale) in the price section of the entry form.

Sales Table
A group sales table will be provided by the guild and staffed by guild members during the show. Prices must be clearly marked on each item.
Each participating artist is limited to one card rack/box, and one print rack/box. (No crafts please)
A two-hour shift to help out at the sales table or refreshment table is required. Participating artists will be contacted to arrange their time.
TERMS OF ENTRY
Massasoit Art Guild will receive a 15% commission on all work sold. Art need not be for sale, but it is encouraged.

By entering the competition, artists grant Massasoit Art Guild permission to use selected images on social media, the website and printed materials for promotional purposes.

Massasoit Art Guild will not be held responsible for the loss or damage of any artwork. By submitting an entry form, each artist will be deemed to have concurred with this agreement.
