Meet The Team

President
Sandra DeCoff
Bio:
I am a photographer who learned to paint with watercolor and oil after being taught by other guild members with more experience.
The first oil painting I created won an award. That’s amazing to me, as I didn’t go to art school or take professional art classes.
I am proud of the fact that, as President of the guild for the past five years, we have doubled our membership.
I have also helped secure more venues where guild members can show their art, and helped to create a second, highly successful art show in the spring, in addition to the annual show in the fall.
It’s a love, it’s a passion, and I love helping people get to where they need to go and get what they need. Sometimes my painting takes a back seat to all the administrative work that needs to get done to make everything happen, but I just squeeze it in when I can.

Vice President
Wendy Fulginiti
Bio:
Before being elected vice president of the guild in January 2026, I served for three years as communications officer.
I’m delighted to serve in this new position at the guild. I coordinate the annual Small Works & Photography Show at the Leicester Public Library, serve on various committees, and work with many talented guild artists to plan events. I enjoy attending the guild’s photography group meetings and sharing my current photo experiences with others.
I took up photography late in life, after encouragement from my family. I began taking shots of my gardens and the insects surrounding them to document my many flowers. As time went on, I
became extremely passionate about nature.
A self-taught photographer, I strive to capture the beauty of the moment, whether it’s a spider
weaving its web or a hummingbird on a coneflower.
The winner of numerous photography awards, recently winning Honorable Mention in the guild’s most recent Small Works & Photography Show. My photos have also been recognized by the Blackstone Valley Art Association, Arts Center East, and numerous other entities.

Treasurer
Margaret Emerson
Margaret has been painting for many years now, exhibiting in local, regional, and national shows, where she has won numerous awards.
“I am primarily self-taught, being encouraged as a child by my mother, and currently work mostly in pastel and acrylic,” Margaret explains.
She also enjoys photography and currently leads the guild’s Photography Group.

“Like many other guild members, I joined MAG after quitting full-time work,” she says. “The guild is a welcoming group that I am glad to be a part of. Being an artist can be lonely.”
Margaret is an abstract painter, drawing from natural forms, especially earth forms such as hills, rocks, plants, and other natural forms.

“My work is intuitive and has no relationship to any concrete thing, nor does it ever represent a specific place,” she says.
Her preferred mediums are acrylic and pastel.
“Pastel is especially satisfying to me because it is so direct with no mixing of colors on a palette. “

As a photographer, her training was in traditional film.
She approaches digital photography from that background and is a big fan of black and white.
“I do, however, enjoy playing with digital filters,” she says.

Secretary

Photography has been a hobby of mine for as long as I can remember.
My grandmother gave me my first camera when I was 8 years old. It was her old box camera. She had upgraded to an instamatic camera with a drop in film cartridge. I made
my way through the years using various cameras including the disc camera, 35 mm camera, and digital cameras. I now exclusively use my Iphone camera to take photos.
I love learning and have started to branch out into different mediums: watercolor, sketching, mixed media and digital art. It’s not unusual for me to have one or two or twenty-five classes started.
I am passionate about genealogy research. I find it fascinating to learn about where my ancestors came from; how they lived and to discover what contributions they have made in history.
I have been a member of the Art Guild since 2014. I have been serving as the secretary
for the past several years.

Communications Officer
Nancy Freiberg Robertson
I am a portrait artist who works mainly in acrylic on canvas. My portraits attempt to bring out the depth of personality and psychological makeup of each of my subjects. My work was accepted to the juried 2025 Northeast Fine Arts Exhibition, and I placed 2nd in the acrylic category at the 2025 Massasoit Art Guild show.

Webmaster
Gina Beford
By day, I craft code as a software engineer; by heart, I am a multidisciplinary artist. My creative practice spans acrylics, oils, watercolor, and mixed media, with a constant curiosity that leads me to explore new techniques and materials. I also work with gel printing, layering process and texture to expand the possibilities of my work.
My style is rooted in bold color and expressive form, often drawing inspiration from abstract art, pop art, and cubism. I am drawn to breaking structure and rebuilding it in new ways, pushing the boundaries of composition, color, and emotion in each piece.
Through both my technical and artistic work, I blend logic and creativity—bringing structure and spontaneity together. Whether I’m developing code or creating visual art, my goal is the same: to build something vibrant, engaging, and full of life.
