May 2020 MAG Newsletter
A Message from the Secretary: I hope this finds everyone doing well. It certainly is a challenging time for us. We are still adjusting to our new normal. I am happy to see people are still creating art. I love seeing what MAG members continue to create and post. I have been taking advantage of the many free online courses being offered by some of my favorite artists. I am trying to pick up some new skills and have been getting inspired by what they are offering. Stay safe.
Open Studio Time is virtual via Zoom
Open Studio is Wednesday morning, 9:30 to 12 Noon via Zoom.
Zoom can be used for video conferencing and allows MAG artists to interact with each other and share their work and ideas. It's a great way to stay in touch with each other during this trying time. If you would like to join in the fun, please email our Zoom host, Maggie Hart at:

Town of East Brookfield 100th Anniversary Activities Canceled
As you are aware from our prior newsletters, the Town of East Brookfield has been celebrating their 100th Anniversary. Due to COVID-19, they have decided to cancel all of their scheduled activities for 2020 and will reschedule everything to next year - 2021. They will be celebrating their 100th plus 1 Anniversary. We will participate in any activities scheduled in the Hodgkins building in 2021.
A short note from the President:
We find ourselves traversing unknown territory during this COVID-19 outbreak. It has been very challenging for so many of us, and our families. I myself have found it hard to manage so many things, however; I want to assure you, our members, that your chosen board are working hard to maintain some semblance of norm. As you can we are working hard to find alternative ways to continue to meet, be that virtual with Zoom, and to continue to foster our relationships as we have in the past by continuing to show our art, on our website or on Facebook. We do not know what the coming days will bring, but we will continue to look for ways to provide as many program opportunities as possible within current restrictions. We will continue to work within whatever guidelines our state and government authorities direct us. We are all in this together and we will continue to look for ways to keep everyone involved while also staying safe.
Wishing everyone good health and continued wellness.
