My works are grounded in nature and the natural forms of the Earth, such as hills, rocks, plants and other natural forms.  They are abstract and represent memories or impressions rather than specific places.  Many have no relationship to anything concrete.  All are intuitive.  I hope that the viewer will find in them peace and harmony.

 

I enjoy the process of painting, whether with acrylic or pastel. When working in acrylic I enjoy making use of various textures, utilizing the many acrylic gels and pastes that are available.  Both mediums are satisfying to me because of the fast drying time of acrylic and the immediacy of pastel.
